Sopocky war ein polnischer Künstler, auf Holzschnitt spezialisiert. Er schuf u. a. Plakate, Anzeigen, Exlibris, lehrte an der Akademie der Schönen Künste in Warschau. -- byl polskim artysta, specjalizujacym sie w drzeworycie. Tworzyl plakaty, reklamy, loga, ekslibrisy i ilustracje. Wykladal na Akademii Sztuk Pieknych w Warszawie. --- was a Polish artist, specializing in woodcutting. He created posters, advertisements, logos, bookplates and illustrations. He lectured at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

Original-Holzschnitt auf Papier: Bildgröße 14 x 11 cm, Blattgröße 21 x 18 cm. Im Randbereich leicht schief beschnitten und etwas unsauber auf ein größeres Blatt montiert (35 x 24,5 cm, mit Passeapartout-Deckblatt). Am unteren Bildrand in Bleistift signiert und datiert 1948, darunter mit rotem Monogramm-Stempel des Künstlers. Insgesamt guter Zustand. -- Oryginalny drzeworyt na papierze: wymiary obrazu 14 x 11 cm, wymiary arkusza 21 x 18 cm. Obciety nieco krzywo na marginesach i nieco niedokladnie naklejony na wieksza kartke (35 x 24,5 cm, z okladka w passe-partout). Sygnowany i datowany olówkiem rok 1948 w dolnej krawedzi obrazu, pod spodem pieczec artysty z czerwonym monogramem. Ogólny stan dobry. -- Original woodcut on paper: image size 14 x 11 cm, sheet size 21 x 18 cm. Slightly crooked trimmed in the margins and somewhat uncleanly mounted on a larger sheet (35 x 24.5 cm, with passeapartout cover sheet). Signed and dated 1948 in pencil on the lower edge of the image, with the artist's red monogram stamp below. Overall good condition
