Sir Francis Seymour Haden (1818-1910) played a major rule in the Etching Revival in Britain and abroad. His oeuvre of more than 250 prints, his writing, his lectures and speaking tours, and his position as President of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers from the year of its foundation until 1910, combined to make him a most visible exponent of the art of etching. (Introduction). - Cover slightly soiled, else a good copy.
