Made up of two parts, on different sheets. -- with old fold marks, otherwise in very good condition. || Ferdinand-Sigismond Bach, also known as Ferdinand Bac, was born on August 15, 1859, in Stuttgart and died on November 18, 1952, in Compiègne at the age of 93. A renowned French writer, illustrator, caricaturist, decorator, painter, ironworker, landscape artist, and lithographer, Bac moved to Paris to embrace a studious yet bohemian life after the collapse of the regime. Introduced into society by Arsène Houssaye and Prince Napoleon, he became a fashionable artist and prominent illustrator, celebrated for his contributions to magazines such as "La Caricature" and "La Vie Parisienne". Bac designed notable gardens, including those at the Villa Croisset and Domaine des Colombières, where he lived and worked, remaining active in artistic and intellectual circles until his death. || Ferdinand-Sigismond Bach, auch bekannt als Ferdinand Bac, wurde am 15. August 1859 in Stuttgart geboren und starb am 18. November 1952 in Compiègne im Alter von 93 Jahren. Der berühmte französische Schriftsteller, Illustrator, Karikaturist, Dekorateur, Maler, Kunstschmied, Landschaftskünstler und Lithograf zog nach dem Zusammenbruch des Regimes nach Paris, um dort ein studiertes, aber dennoch bohèmehaftes Leben zu führen. Durch Arsène Houssaye und Prinz Napoleon in die Gesellschaft eingeführt, wurde er ein modischer Künstler und bedeutender Illustrator, bekannt für seine Beiträge zu "La Caricature" und "La Vie Parisienne". Bac entwarf bemerkenswerte Gärten, darunter die der Villa Croisset und des Domaine des Colombières, wo er lebte und arbeitete und bis zu seinem Tod aktiv in künstlerischen und intellektuellen Kreisen blieb.
