A rare and lovely book with colorful illustrations. The plates show: a girl reading and a boy writing; girls playing battledore and shuttlecock; boys flying kites; the Doll`s Festival; children playing kotoro-kotoro in Ueno Park; boys on bamboo stilts; boys in a procession; children playing in a stream; boys wrestling (sumo); youthful warriors on march. The text pages describes the child`s games and scenes very detailed. - Binding somewhat browned, edges and plates in the margins partley foxing, else a fine copy.
